Bought this RAM to replace the stock 2GB in my late 2008 Alu. Unibody Macbook. Everything works fine so far and took about 5 minutes to install.

Slipped these into my stock 2.26 Ghz late-2009 Mac Mini to bring the total ram from 2 to 4 GB. Fairly easy installation for those not of the faint of heart once you get past cracking open the case.
Bottom line is that this ram works and immediately booted without any issues. I've been a fan of Patriot memory in my various macs for years.

I purchased this ram for my 13 mac book pro and it works great for this application. I gave it 4 stars because one of the pieces of ram went bad in about a week after install so Amazon had to send a replacement. All has worked great since. The computer had no problem seeing the ram and I have noticed a modest speed improvement.

I carefully looked over this page to make sure it was for a (single) 4GB DDR3-1066 chip. However, the kit arrived and it is for a pair of 2GB chips. The picture accompanying the item shows two chips that clearly say 4GB on them. However, I just noticed that below the LARGE 4GB, it says in very small print, "So-Dimm (2x2GB) Kit" which is ALMOST unreadable on my monitor (I can barely make it out now that I have the chips in hand and know what to look for). Nowhere in any of the written descriptions does it say anything other than 4GB.

So if you are looking for a single 4GB chip look elsewhere. If you are looking for a 2 x 2GB DDR3-1066 kit upgrade (two 2GB chips to make 4GB), then this is for you.
I will be returning the two kits I ordered so I do not know how well the product works in my Lenovo T400, so learn from my problem. I should note that the rating is not based on their performance, but rather the fact that Amazon.com needs to clarify their listing of this product to make it clear what the customer will be receiving.
