 Perfect fit for Dell D630, works even with extended battery July 29, 2008

No regrets about buying this. I wanted something well-made at an affordable price that I can slip my brand new Dell D630 into when it's not in use or when carrying in my backpack. I didn't want extra space in there and this fits like a scuba suit over the D630. If you use the extended 9 cell battery, the material stretches just enough over the battery to zip shut without pulling at the seams. The zipper is sturdy and goes three quarters of the way around for easy removal. The outside pocket is handy for storing my mini cordless mouse, USB key, and extra modular battery, probably a tight fit for the larger 90watt adapter though that's not really why I bought this. All in all, I'd definitely recommend for 14.1 inch widescreens such as the D630 or something with similar dimensions.

After looking for sleeves at different stores, I have to say that this sleeve is definitely a great quality sleeve and Amazon's price of $22 can't be beat. Sleeves that are not even this nice sell for $30 on average at retail stores. This sleeve is nice and thick to provide that cushioned support and the inside suede-like material is definitely a nice touch (I didn't see that in other sleeves I tried at retail stores). The extra pocket on the side will fit most laptop accessories, and although it would probably fit the AC cable, it would stretch it too much in my opinion. So, it's meant for other smaller accessories such as a usb hard drive, cables (usb, ethernet etc), head phones, thumb drives etc. The inside of the pocket also has a small pouch made to fit usb thumb drives - again, a nice touch in design.
The only thing I wish were different is the size, but this is really a minor issue that will not apply to everyone. I have a 14.1 inch wide-screen laptop from Acer and it fits fine on the sides, but there are 1 - 1.5 inches of extra space on the top (probably to fit 14 inch standard 3:4 ratio screens). I just wish it fit snug all around, but I found that to be a problem with every 14.1 sleeve I have tried in retail stores. So, when you pick up the laptop in the sleeve, you can feel it slide a bit within the sleeve, and you get the feeling that it might slip out of your hand. But it's just a matter of getting used to it and keeping it in mind when you grab the laptop. The only way to guarantee a snug fit is to order a custom-made sleeve for a particular laptop model.
So, all in all I give it 5 stars for quality, good design with practical ideas in mind, and an unbeatable price on Amazon.

I bought this laptop sleeve for my new Dell XPS laptop. I needed it to use when traveling on the airplane. When using this sleeve, all I had to do was pull the whole sleeve out from my bag and put it in the container for the TASA scanner, it was easy.
The neoprene stretches enough to put my ac power cord in the front zipper and it also has a built in slot for a thumb drive. It is very convenient and durable. My husband wanted mine. We might be buying another one here soon. The only problem was that the shipping took forever on standard shipping, like 14-20 business days after ordering.

The case is great! My charger fits perfectly inside the front pocket, which I was concerned about prior to purchase. It is a great fit for my 14.1" widescreen laptop.

This laptop sleeve is wonderful, it's soft yet sturdy and keeps your laptop from getting scoffed with surface damage while in your computer case. It also has convenient compartments to store cords and a flash drive. I would buy another one if it were offered in a 17 inch.
